I hold a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Converse College and a Bachelor of Science in Experimental Psychology from the University of South Carolina Upstate. I am currently employed at Spartanburg Treatment Associates as a Certified Addictions Counselor in Process, and I have worked in that capacity in the past at Cherokee County Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse in Gaffney, South Carolina and at the Phoenix Center in Greenville, South Carolina. I am currently pursuing licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am certified in Motivational Enhancement Therapy and Gambling Addiction Treatment, and I currently serve as the Clinical Services Coordinator for the Family Therapy Teaching Clinic (FTTC) at Upstate Family Resource Center in Boiling Springs, South Carolina, in partnership with WestGate Training and Consultation Network.

My area of research and interest is using Mindfulness to facilitate Acceptance/Change strategies within a family systemic framework, and I have presented research at several conferences and seminars on this and other topics.
My approach to therapy involves helping individuals and families to facilitate change through Mindfulness techniques in a non-judgmental, client-centered, positive environment. My office hours at FTTC are: Tuesday through Thursday, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturdays 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. by appointment.
